Summer at Eclectic Music
Are you spending your Summer Nights practicing the Hand Jive? Could you be The Greatest Showman? How many times did you see Wicked this fall? Whether you’re a Broadway baby or a movie musical fanatic, Showstoppers is the camp you’ve been waiting for! Spend your summer bringing iconic movie musicals to life, building your stage presence, and mastering the art of song and dance with other passionate performers just like you. Campers train with industry professionals in singing, dancing, and acting techniques designed for the big stage and silver screen, then complete the week with a showstopping filmed movie musical performance.
Imagine your name in lights as fans line up to enter iconic music festivals from coast to coast. From Coachella to Austin City Limits to Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo (and even ATL’s own Shaky Knees), we are priming campers for their 15 minutes of fame! So don your flower crowns or disco cowboy getups, fill up those water bottles, and map out your must-sees! Come get groovy with us all week long as summer camp meets music festival (mud not included).

Think high school kids jamming in the basement or Dave Grohl building the Foo Fighters from scratch was cool? Well hold onto those flannels and denim, because we’ve got our very own Garage Band camp. Yeah sure, we may not be in an actual garage, but that doesn’t mean we can’t take it back to grunge with raw, energetic rock! Future rockstars will recreate the sound of those infamous bands that started at home before taking the world by storm. We can already hear the faint cries of someone upstairs yelling “turn that music down!!!!”
We’re all in this together as campers take the stage to defy gravity and seize the day. Campers will spend the week building confidence and celebrating their uniqueness as bit by bit they’re putting together a showcase of musical theatre moments that will have you shouting “I wanna be a producer!”. The week will cover vocal production, movement (choreography and staging), audition techniques, and storytelling with some of Atlanta's best stage professionals.
Before there were playlists, there were mixtapes. And before there were mixtapes, kids like you had to sit by the radio for hours to hear their favorite songs. Campers will join us on a journey through time (and celebrate the music worth waiting for) as we play the best popular songs from a dozen different decades! Let’s learn the tunes, culture, and styles of yesterday and today!
In our brand new mini-camp, students will have the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of what it looks like to capture sound with real-life audio pros! Not only will campers learn new songs and jam together, they will have the chance to record a demo and take home their professionally mixed track! From listening parties to studio sessions, this is sure to be 3 days of fun, filled to the brim with sweet ear candy.
Get ready for the best party of the summer! It’s time to chase down that ice cream truck, kick off your shoes, and splash in the cool water of that DIY fire hydrant sprinkler - all while crankin’ your favorite tunes. The more, the merrier - after all, this is a “chance for folks to meet!” In this camp, we’ll be jamming to historic hip hop, nostalgic numbers, and beat-filled bops that keep us dancing til the early morning hours. Sometimes, the music is just too good to stay inside!
